the Summer Of The BeautifUl White Horse
William Saroyan
Do you think Mourad is "crazy"?
Mourad is crazy, he steals a horse and acts as if he is temporarily borrowing it. "We could keep it for a year. My cousin Mourad leaped to his feet. What? he roared. Are you inviting a member of the Garoghlanian family to steal? The horse must go back to its true owner. When? In six months." Page 8. Mourad is acting as if he didn't steal the animal and that a year is to long and six months would be perfect. He is thinking they would still be borrowing if it was only half a year. Mourad woke his cousin up in four in the morning with a random white horse and told him to get on. "Came to my house at four in the morning and woke me up by tapping on the the window of my room." Page 1. Mourad is insane enough to go to his cousins house repeatedly tap on his window in 4 in the morning and tell him to get on a random horse. People also consider him crazy because they say he got the crazy streak in the family. "Every family has a crazy streak in it somewhere, and my cousin Mourad was considered the natural inheritor of the cray streak in our tribe." Page 3. He is considered the crazy one in the family because he steals horses, has a way with everything, and randomly bursts out singing. In conclusion Mourad is crazy because of his actions and how he has "a way with everything."

Morals are the type of behavior you do, for example the morals of the Gargholanian family in the story The Summer Of The Beautiful White Horse is that they are always honest. My family morals are like theres because i am taught to always tell the truth and never steal. "We had been famous for our honesty for something like eleven centuries, even when we had been the wealthiest family in what we liked to think was the world. We where proud first, honest next, and after that we believed in right and wrong." Page 2. Other morals my family has is that we always try to help other, for example we would donate clothes we don't need in stead of just throwing them away. This relates to Arams family because they have very little so these clothes would go to people like them. "Every branch of the Gargholanian family was living in the most amazing and comical poverty in the world." Page 2. They dont have a lot but they are thankful that they are honest and that they have each other as a family. In conclusion my family morals are similar to those in the story because you should never lie about something and just face the consequences which is something Aram and Mourad tried to do when theyshowed John Byro his horse.
